There is little doubt that this is the most important book on this topic which has been pubished to date. They survey a large number of movies discussing important themes relevant to the portrayal of mental illness and therapy in the movies. It is highly recommended

You have to love the title to this book! This book takes the approach of using film as an adjunt to therapy.

This book does not focus exclusively on movies, but Dr. Schneider does discuss the relevancy of several films in understanding the human condition. He focuses specifically on the classic Horror genre of film.
